passing by a cemetery
one wonders who is buried there
how long did they live for
do people visit them often
and in passing should we leave flowers
to adorn their head stones
weeping angels and jesus on the cross
some graves if left unkempt
linger on without regret
pictures to remind us who they were
as our memories fade
surrounded by walls
here lies our fate
for it comes too late
Very moving and appropriate on Remembrance Sunday
