pink sunset evening
on winter wind I see her
sparrow falls in flight
pink sunset evening
on winter wind I see her
sparrow falls in flight
I sleep alone still
waiting for dreams to catch me
soft pillow stuffing
templates of the stars
kaleidoscopic images
of different colours
strewn across the sky
calling out to her
why did she have to leave
I want to see her again
but I know that is unlikely
All that is good
is green in the world
hold onto the blue
for without both
we shall perish…
cold light of the moon
shines down upon me
frost bit grass
lies under my feet
I feel the winter wind
but do not hide from it
let it pass over
to remind me of her face
the past erodes the present
my thoughts run deep
I see now;
where it all began.
in that moment of clarity
I wait for her,
each time
we both fall in love
my soul is painted
like the skies,
I see no reason
to change that.
