they never quit
their everywhere you go
but you never see them
until
your one of theirs
they never quit
their everywhere you go
but you never see them
until
your one of theirs
their everywhere
on every street
in every home
and if they bite
they’ll make you
one of their own
woven in
to their web of sin
a string of hope
that leads
to them
picking the bones clean
what is left
are the remains
of a victim
unable to save himself
before you realise
that death is fast approaching
time seems to slow down
and all around you
turns to darkness
here you will find peace
playful and curious
loyal and fierce
when they are together
their dominion is all-encompassing
like an arrow
formation they fly
across the channel
they call each other
to encourages the slower ones
to keep pace
till the end of the race
I’ve seen a dog
bite its own tail
and then turn around
to bark
at itself
you know his colours
their the same as your dreams
and when he appears
he’s not what he seems
with his big ears
and fluffy tail
when the rain stopped
he emerged from his burrow
to great the sun
