There is a statue
by the foot of Neptune
of a man/woman
who challenged the sea
but the moment
the sea touched him/her
she/he became
immortalised
by those they chose to destroy
The Fisherman
standing on the shore
I see a statue
of a man I once new
as the tide rises
the sun sets
he disappears
to return once again
