the two of you together
in springtime
getting ready to build your nest
digging up worms
with your orange beaks
in the green garden
let the days pass by
and the clouds turn to stars
the night settles in
as lovers do
the two of you together
in springtime
getting ready to build your nest
digging up worms
with your orange beaks
in the green garden
let the days pass by
and the clouds turn to stars
the night settles in
as lovers do
Fallen seagull
lying there on the ground
disheveled shape
made from a plastic bag
one day you’ll fly free
and be reborn
from the streets you call home
sunsetting, in sky.
night is fast approaching now,
stars appear above
married together
in the sky there is passion
sun and moon are one
it wouldn’t be the same
without birds in the sky
singing their songs
late one evening
overhead pasted a flock of birds
they seemed to block out the sky
as it changed
this dawned on me
reflections of time
light to dark
then light returning
a never ending story
when I think of the grand design
we have made on Earth like a map
creating our world
through different civilisations
similar shapes arise across the globe
throughout history as mankind progresses
these shapes change
to the glass and concrete
the skyline of a city
mark our place in time
building the likes of which
can be seen from space
when the sun fades
signals the end of day
night makes an appearance
the shapes of the clouds disappear
replaced by the stars
the light of the moon across the sky
tells of stories of the sun
as the trees sway in the breeze
the animals come out to hunt
their shadows dancing across the ground
pursuing the right to dominate the nightlife
moon as bright as a coin
stays with me
holds my gaze
lets me know
who I am
through the eyes
of my binoculars
I could see life
blackbird sing
the fading light of day
each evening they call
a serenade
across the gardens
listening to their song
