As I sit alone
thoughts cross my mind,
a kaleidoscope of memories.
Cherish those
while they still remain,
as spring
fades into autumn—
may they last you
all your years.
Butterfly
a butterfly came to visit me
her colour a blur
of brown and black
but I could make out her eyes
as if to say hello
farewell and goodbye
Sunrise
the sunrise
over the hills
a bright day—
the light of which
stays impressed
in the memory.
Silhouette
my silhouette
changes with the light;
as I contemplate
the ocean still.
Barren Hillsides
Barren hillsides
where I make my home
Open spaces
seldom view themselves
I live alone
where others go
i dare not venture
To be free
take your leave
Cherish life
may it be plentiful
as a mountain spring
dance of the clouds
a bright full moon
the clouds dance
light shines through
darkness is gone
to the night sky
the sun returns
Each day
Each word, a story untold.
Each truth, a lesson learned.
Each memory is awakened.
Each breath, the passion returns.
Each past, reclaimed.
Each stake, renamed.
Time
When all is done, nothing left.
What once was new, is old again.
To stand upon the shore,
the seas subconscious call.
Birds fly past, rekindle thoughts.
Rejoice! for the wind has given breath,
so we may feel the light
to ignite the pinnacles of heaven.
Existence
Existence shaped by form
a belief in it’s entirety
Unparalleled creation
a proclaiming voice
Civilisation
shaping the land into green
across the valley and upstream
where forests are cleared
a range of fields divides
replaced by mountain sides
through hillside pathways
across dual carriageways
the view of colours change
as civilisation has no end
