My ideals failed me
they led me to believe
in something more
when the one constant
is the shining sun

upon awakening

to pursue my ambition

I see a statue
of a man I once new
as the tide rises
the sun sets
he disappears
to return once again
Each day changes
The hills fade into the sky
as the sun turns into fire
changing clouds
obscure the view
thunder reigns
the day ends
night draws in
as the stars shoot across the sky

as both the sun and moon appear
